Dear Parents Brothers and sisters I now seat myself to write you a few lines to let you know that I am well and I hope this will find you all enjoying the same blessing I recieved your letter last tuesday morning and a paper at the same time I found my fish hooks and line we was paid off to day for four months which was fifty two dollaars and I shall send home fifty of it on express and if there is any thing to pay on it you pay it and I will pay you I shall not be all out of money for they owe / me 15 dollars here in the regiment and that will last me untill I get home write me as soon as you get the money for I shall feel very uneasy untill I hear from it I would like to have you send me apaper every week the boys are all well from our way as I cant think of any thing more to write at present I shall have to bid you good by for this time
