I recev your most welcom letter this evening I am sorry that martin got Bit by amad dog I hop it will do no damage I am verry sorry for elsey if she is sick this warm wather
 
I recev newspaper last evening with a peese of callo calico in it

Leutent. Bradon in Co. C. 150 says he hav not seen Simon Traner sence the first dayes fite at gettesburg nor hav no occount of him miss Traner mite rite to the commander of the Co. that he was in or she mite rite to the commander of the regement and get answer jest as easey as to run all over toun to find out about Simon. I no nothing a bout him We had orders to hav 3 day reshans this morning be reddey to march at a minnet notis I am wall to day I have don my washing to day shirt drawes socks darn my socks sod up my drawes whare thay ware rip dride tham poot tham on a gain I am goying to have some more close now soon I do not worry about things at home I shal not as long as you all is wall I take things easey I naver did worry I think you had beter sell your wooll The store is now that the rebs are going up in the Shonodoar valley a gain for more Plunder yours in hast
