Dear wife this is the third time that i have taken my pen in my hand to communicate to you my sincere love and and respects that I have for you and my dear miss i have bin looking around for some time and you are the first lady that i have found that comes as near suiting me as ny you and I I I am in hopes that you will receive this with the same love and respects for me that I have for i have bin looking for a letter from you for some time but dont blame you for it since I wrote to you i learned that i had sent my letters to the wrong place but i shall look with the greatest of patience after this my dear miss you are present in my mind both day and night and if life should last I shall returne to see you again and I am in hopes that i will find you in the same mind that i am in at his time i have more sincere love for you than tongue can express my love is unimited i have the present that you gave me when i saw you last and i intend to take care of it as long as i live if nothing should not hapen to me so that i should loose it i of times looke at it and think of you and wish that i could see you and talk with for i had rather be in your company one hour that to be in any other ladys company a whole day you are the dearest of all ladyes to me if i could be in your company one day i could tell you many things that i cant tell you in this letter my dear miss i am in hopes when this comes to hand you will read it with the same love that i have writen it to you with and i want you to answer this letter as soon as you get those few lines an as i have no chance to get any thing to read i would like for you to send me of them the pretest poetry you have so i can read them in rememberance of you my dear you must excuse this letter for it was wrote in a hurry you must direct your letters to W.
