November the 4th 1860
Dier Brother and sister I again sit down to wright a fiew lines to you hoping they may find you all well as thanks to the good being it leaves us all well at presant except Julia she has got the Meesels she caught them at Caty Richardsons they have all had them all of old peeter Cauble folks has had the Meesels and george George Colglazier but they are about well now I received your letter in due time I am glad to hear that you are all well and geting fat wee received your letter and your potatoes wee thank you very much for them wee have not got your peeches yet I have not been at Home to see a bout it I think they are a little lazy about geting them I must quit to go to Meeting to the new Meeting House I again sit down to finish my letter I told you in my other letter that I was Working for William Cauble I did not tell you whare nor how much amonth I got We are a working at Jacobs Clicks I am getting $12 a monthe I have worked 27 days I dont know whether / I will work any longer than this week or not our school commences to morrow a week and I want to go all I can wee have the corn to gather yet and a right smart of work to do before I can go to school. Bidly is our teecher again. wee are agoing to have a four Months School this winter I do not now hardly what to right my hand trimbles so that I cannot wright very good Well Sarah I am glad that you wrote me a fiew lines but I want you to wright oftener there is meeting to night at the new meeting House and i am a going and a going out among the Wimmen and it is a bout time I was a starting. Mother will Wright to morrow and send your letter that you wanted in it I am glad to here that you have got your papers to vote and that you are a going to vote for old Abe with these fiew lines I must come to a close you must excus me for not righting more this time So, Fare Well for this time
