Dear father and mother with respects I set down to drop you A few lines to let you no that we ar all in tolerable Good helth and I hope when these few lines comes to hand they may finde yall well if you want them swete potatoes you must come after them rite of I spocke for them this morning snede said he would keap them till sunday for you wel pap I have got plenty of worke to do righ now but I doant get in any money for it I would be vary thank full if you could lend me ten dollars for A while I am in A prety close place Just now it would be one of the graitest acomodations in the world at this time I would like for you to bring or send it when you come for youre potatoes I Got A leter from brother James last nite his wife is sick but she is beter now I have looked in the ofice for A leter from you ever since I roat to you but I have not got none yet / I have nothing moare of importance to rite at preasant. I want you to come or rite as soone as this comes to hand tell em to rite and tell taylor & scot to rite all so I would like to come down but I have not got the Chance to come now so I must qit for this time I still remaine your
