                                                                                                Dear sister I this rany sabbath pick up my pen to answer youre letter that come to hand to weeks a go we was glad to hear from you I had come to the conclushion that you had all forgoton us but I am glad that you still remmem remember us I was all so glad to hear that you was injoying youre self so well and still glader to think that you was coming to live with us O how I wish it wish it was spring now you sed that you would come if we had work for you to pay youre and lissies board now sarrah you no that youre / board here is just as free as our one if you can put up with the way that we live just come on I will hav lots of work for you and me both we will hav nine cows to milk next sumer we will hav six or seven fresh in march so you see we will make lots of butter and then our children can hav lots of big aprons tell lissie that nellie ses lissie will milk bettie and she will milk cherrie She talks so much a bout lissie a coming to live with us She tries to lurn her letters on the stone harth She ses lisse will lurn her her a b c when she comes aunt sarrah I wish that you could see her She is a great big girl and is just like her uncle Scotty O how well I would / love to see you all unless it is em I am so out of peations with her I dont like her much I should like to no what she told pap that made him mad at us She had better a kept her mouth shut and a let pap come out here and a give her that twenty five dollars that he give old tompson to get that old town property back and then she could a baut her a carpet and a saved so much jawing when she comes home She rote out her last sumer for Jim to rent them a farm and he rote to John to no what rent he would pay and how big a farm he wanted and then got on a horse and rode a round and hunted a farm and they hav never answerd one letter I recking / they ar mad at us tuo but if they ar I dont care Jim sed he dident no why em should keep pap from coming out her for he had treated her as well as he did his one sisters and pap and mother nose that Jim has always treated them well and pap ant got a boy in the world that has the respect for him that Jim has Sarrah you sed that mother wanted to no whether ther was any peaches here or not yes there was a good many I caned fourteen gallens but I dident dry any some dried a good many but I hav got an old stoking full of dried peaches that we bought in harvest so if some of you will come I will cook a dish full and hav some left I think pap and mother or the boys mite come out and pay us a visit I will finish on an other sheet.
 
well Sarah this is one week latter I will try to finnish my letter well the first that I will tell you is that [?] booker has come to live with Jap and mool I tell you she is a fast yong lady she came last thursday but she cant tell any thing a bout any body that I care any thing a bout well Sarrah I must tell you that old Jake bess is married he was married last august he married a woman that had a bastard a bout fourteen monts old when thay was married and he has got her nocked a gan so that will do for him and John L is married two he married a girl in Shampain county She is a rite / pretty for a dunkerd girl but drum ant married yet he was quite friendly with me at the supper the other night we had a real nice supper at the hotell the twenty seventh of last month to get mony to compleet the new church well Sarah I believ that I hav riten enough for this time I want you to write and tell me what time in the spring you will be here if you can you had better sell one of youre bed steds for you no that you cant hav but one up and the other would get abused tell pap that Mr hutsion pillow has sold out he got seventy five dollars pur acor I will send you a peace of nellies dreses that Mrs hutsion pillow got her they hav gone to Ohio to spend the winter I want you to write soon and come soone tell mother I would love to see her and pap and the boys two tell lissee to hurry and come and you come tuo so fare well write soon
