My Bother I take my pen this eavning to write a fiew lines to you to inform you that I am well and have not forgoten you yet but it seems as though you have tried to forget me as you have not writen to me only mearly to mention my name in Alberts letter wheather he has ever mentioned me in his letter or not I know not a year has past and gone sinse I seen you / and then I offered to bid you farewell and you would not give me the parting hand you left me with my hart allmost broken to think a brother dear could treat me so but sinse I have found out the reason why you did so and if I had done as you did that day withe the assistance of one withe out any sence of honor about him I could not have had the face to bid a brother farewell either after telling or rather sanctioning a bare faced Lie on one that was innocent / as the day was long or the Lie was black brother if such you deserve to be called if you are truly sorry for it I can forgive you if ever I was consious of haveing done you a rong I could have looked over your falt or if you had had the slightest reason to think hard of the one that you tried to inger I could have forgoten it but to a moral certainty she has ever treated you kindly and respectfuly but you have never showen / yourself insid our dore or shown that you had any friendship towards us any way brother I am liable to falts as mutch as any one as there is no man but what has his falts I may never see you again but if we dont let us try to meet in a better world if you see propper to answer this letter I would like verry well to receive one from you so good by may god bless you and your umble servant
