Charles H. Nevers
Charles H. Nevers was born around 1840 in Charlestown, New Hampshire, to Vryling and Lucretia Nevers. His father was a laborer, and he died around 1853. Nevers grew up and attended school in Claremont, New Hampshire, and by 1860, he was working as a factory operative.
 
He enlisted in the Union army on September 27, 1861, and he mustered in as a private in Company G of the 5th New Hampshire Infantry. He died in the Battle of White Oak Swamp on June 30, 1862.
