once more I take pen in hand to Direct a few lines to you. I am usualy well hopeing this to find you the same. my shoulder is on the gaine, and I have a verry good Apetite. So you need not worry. I am getting fat as a hog that livs on Staek and that is some times darnd fat. I will be home on a furlough some time betwixt now and the 4th of July if nuthing hapens So you need not strain your eyes looking for me till I come. I got your money / yesterday and have had 2 letters from you since I came here and wrote some 3 or 4 and sent a paper most every day & [?] what little news the was. now dont worry about me for I may be home in 3 days & maby in 3 weeks the Doctor has promised me a furlough. our Adjutant was down to day and see about it and told me to never go to the regt. again Said I had done my part. But as I have commenced Im bound to go through and then I will step a side and give the next a chance. Bill Wimple was down to see me a little while to day & / brought me some Aples & Oranges he has gone with the promise of comeing again well I will have to close tell Grandfathers people I am all right and wrote Sophia a letter.
