Dear Sister All
It is witch mutch pleasure that I now take to rite a line or two in answer to your letter that came to me on the 11th of this month and I was very happy to hear from you, and that they are still engaged in the good work, both at centerville and Keyport. and I hope that they will continue on with the meetings with good success, as they have here to fore. you said in your letter that mother was worried about us about getting back to / we got back all right and safe. but you must tell her not to worry about us, for we can make out pretty well. but on the 4th of this month we received orders for to strike tents and get ready for to move and about nine oclock a.m. we was in line ready for to march. we marched about 4 or 5 miles down towards Bell plaines, were we are now encamped, and we went to work and put us up an a tent we got some logs and built a better one than for what we had before. we built it fore logs high around, and then put the tent / on, and it is mutch a little larger on the ground so we have a great deal more roome. but in building it we did not forget to put a fire place in it, so we are now fixed quite comfortable. the regement went out on picket on monday, and we are a looking for them back every minite or two. you spoke about Laman likenes we received it all right some time ago, and have it yet. we received the letter from Father in due season and will try to answer it soon. that Lieutenant Covington that you spoke of belonged to Co. I / and you also wanted to know how we are a getting along, and how we are. we are a getting along first rate, and are pretty well, except I have got cind of a coald. but I think that it is a getting better now I think. the box that James sent has not arived here yet but we are still a looking for it. you said that Garret talked about comeing out to see us so if you see him you can tell him that we would like to see him rite well. but I must close so no more at presant
