                        My dear wife

As Julius is to write home today I shall leave the news for his pen.  I was quite anxious for his health in his first return, but he is I think feeling better.  I went out a part of the day yesterday and opened the book trade by selling 8 copies.  I do not think it any good ground to sell books we have but I shall sell some so as not to be idle I yesterday told Maj Winters that I would like to stay here for a while if he had the right kind of a plase for me where it did not interfere with his kind wishes for any other one No at onse spoke of any keeping this plase and Jule taking something else.  I told him that I did not wish to keep Julis plase unless he had some other plans that pleased him as well.  He said he would look and see what could be done in a day or two, so the probalility that I shall stay in same situation for a while but I may not.  I think it best to stay in this office if he fixes it so as to keep Jule in as good a situation, and one that pleases him as well, if not I should be willing to stay for the pay in any situation the Maj is willing to please me.  If I stay I shall be able to have a constant monthly income  which with one other small____will keep up well our expenses and enable us to ____some comforts of which we have been deprived.

I should map the domestic joys of home, but, I should feel better in knowing that you had the constant  society of Martha.  Neither you or she know how glad I am that after absense from each other for so many years you can again enjoy the society and intenuius of each other.

Tell Sire Master Pen has just come to the office to help me sell tickets,.  I wish Sire could be here to play with him.  Pen is going to put a stamp on this fer send
