Roxanna H. Cooke
Roxanna H. Cooke (maiden name: Haskell) was born on April 14, 1803, in New Gloucester, Maine, to Jonathan and Deborah Haskell. She married Joseph Cooke, and they had at least five children: Vesta, born on September 25, 1824; Joseph, born around 1827; Roxanna, born around 1835; Alden, born around 1832; John, born on October 7, 1839. Her husband died on May 30, 1839. She lived in Saco, Maine, and by 1860, she was working as a nurse. By 1880, she was living in her daughter Roxanna’s household in Saco. She died on August 17, 1885.
