My dear Sadie.
I was very much surprised to receive Hazels graduating Card, the thought did not occur to me, that she was old enough. It can not be possible. I have read and reread the card and suppose it must be true. Well, I only wish I could be with you all, and enjoy some of the pleasure, but that is impossible and I must not think of it. I am going to send you my small diamond ring, for you to give to Hazel on that eventful evening, with my love and congratulations upon her success. I am still at the Reece home, the Cal is in Rome he is traveling with his grandson Harry Butler. Miss Reece is  with her sister, so I have the home in my own hands. Cal will return in June. I have been / quite sick this spring, am better now. after the folks left, I spent four weeks cleaning house and was a little too much for me. You know I am not so young as I use to be, and this is a very large house 19 rooms, 2 bath rooms and hall. I am so thankful it is cleaned. What has become of your boy. I hope he was successful.

I have only time for a short letter this time. I went to church this morning, and expect to go again this evening. Mrs. Demmer invited us to supper Please write me all about Hazel how she looks and what her dress is. Belle S— and her father have left here Belle in Kansas City, her father out on the ranch. I miss Belle very, very much indeed. I feel quite alone.

With love to all and best wishes for your happiness.

Write soon.                                                                                                     Uncle
