Camp Falmouth Va
Dear Cousen it is with the greatest of pleasure I now sit down for to Direct you the good State of my health & to let you know that I recieved your most kind & beloved letter to day & was glad to hear from you. I sent you a letter but a short time ago & have bin a looking for an answer from it but was glad you thought of me if you did not get any from me. My health is exalent & hope it will continue so untill I hear from the wars End.
I also recieved a letter from our folks to day & some paper & envelops stamps &c &c. I was sorry to hear that Deloria was hurt so but was glad to hear that she is as well as comon she is. I spose you air having good sleighing there this winter & enjoing it at the best advantage hope you are & would like to be with you all to enjoy it with you. it is so dark & the Boys is makeing so much noyse round I shall make more than a dozen mistake but Dear Cousen please excuse / them for I believe pooris wrighting is better than nuthing the weather has bin verry nice indeed for the past month but it begins to cloud up & has rained considerable to day we have seen no snow for about 6 weeks but look for it now. Uncle Albert I have sent $95.00 home this last pay day & you have the first chance on what I have to spare so if you want it go down to our house & get it & if you dont want it perhaps Em will want a little & come down where I am / To make his 5 or 10 dls. per day I think he could do well by comeing if he has no other job on hand I want to write a line to Uncle Em to night so will haft to be short with you both so dont fail to write often & tell all the nuse &c &c So my love & best respects to you all Gardner & Charley & Preston must be grand Boys so no more at present dont faile to write often so Good Bye to you
