Dear Parents
I am again seated for the purpose of adressing you with a few lines in behalf of my safe arival to Campbell Hospital. arived this morning at 4 Oclock & I must say we had verry poor luck in getting through our train was loaded so heavy all the way from Elmira we could not make our time any where but I was quite lucky in connecting Monday I was pretty sick all day & so bad off at night I had to / have a burth in a sleeping-car and got along quite well. But I am feeling better to day the weather here to day is warm & pleasant the sun shines & the isent a cloud to be seen at this present time But I spose it is cold there & rainy perhaps. But

Ah. I'm not there to share it with you. I saw Seth Harriman while on my way here He had just got back from his Furlough. The isent but a verry few back on time Some havent got here yet that got their Furlough before I did / I have bin to see if I could get a pass to go to the front but I think it quite doubtful about their giving me one if I cant get to the front I will have to come home. Mother I guess you may get that of Steph when you see him & lay up all you can that I send home so to have the next payment ready for the land. if I get into Business here I will try and send home about 25 or more a month I spoke to Uncle Albert about his old house if you think it best to take it at 50$ & / help moove it down Tell him he can go at it & if they do it I want them to be verry sure & not split the claboards & floor boards it will want to be sat where the old straw stack youst to stand & have it far enoughf from the road so the can be a good door yard I will now close
