                                                                                                            I received your kind leter in due time & would in answer say that I was truely say that glad to hear from you but am not capable of answering it but will do the best I can it would hav ben very plesant if you could hav ben at home altho I did not hav much time to visit alth had a very good time under the circstances I was thare under thare ar some very prety girls thare in Troy but I do not expect thare is one that would speak to Tim altho I am not a goin to ask eny odds of them
 
D ar you keeping your promis I surpose that you hav not forgoten it / if you have I will just put you in mind of it
 
            ar you agoin to stay at home this winter and whare is "E" should like to hear from her but if you she does not choes to rite to me I can not help it
 
            All the troy boys ar well & enjoying them selvs just as well as they would at home
 
            Excuse me for this time & I will try to do beter next time
