Dear parents tis with great pleasher that i to let you no that i am well and hope thes few lines will find you the same to and i got your letter last night and was glad to hear from you and to hear that you was well as you are if not beter to and was very sory to hear that mandy was sick to it sill keepes to rainy hear yet tis very mudy to tis very sickly hear now as well as up there to i have got a very bad cold to day and soar throt to ithink it will be beter to morow or soon after dont you to the hoall Breage is under marching orders to partes unnons to ous to go jest as soon as the / Weather changes so we shant get every thing wet to jest Tell me if hellen Noyes has ben to your house sence she was when told you to right me and she would right if I would jest tell hur that i have rote to hur but haint seen no answer from hur yet tell hir to right to me or do jest as she is aminto jest tell me Harvey Johnson getes along with his scrape tell me whare his sister is and if she is gointo be maried or not i heard that she was so let me no if you no and if harvey hears from his wife or not jest tell me hoa keeps Churchels school this winter and how the boyes lear this winter at school and so on / And how Colburns Johnsons folks get along to and how you get along to for aliving this winter and all the paticlers of the north Tell me how McGarvins nice girl feels about hur father being in jale they wount feel so promp as they did will they Think tis a ded seter on them aint it i am sorey for them all thoe aint you to tis to bad for them chrildan how will the live now you must not wore about me hear tell the chrildan to lern all they can and right me a letter in one year from this day if you please to for we shall probley be in the south some where or another that little pin is for both of the boys and i will send another one if i can find one hear in the / South for them tell mandey to get well and be abig Lady when hur John comes home to see hur so she can come and meat me clear down to the mill and not fall dow eather some of the boys think that we shall come home in June and som think we shant and ithink we shant to dont you tell your mind
