Hannah Phelps (maiden name: Reynolds) was born on March 4, 1824, in Vermont. She married John Pitridge, and their son John was born on January 19, 1842. Her husband died in the 1840s, and she married Jarvis Phelps around 1849. They had at least three children: Charles, born around 1850; Franklin, born around 1851; and Amanda, born around 1859. They lived in Brandon, Vermont, and her husband worked as a laborer. By 1860, they owned $50 of personal property. A decade later, they owned $300 of personal property. Her husband died on August 21, 1902, and she passed away of pneumonia in Brandon on February 26, 1910.
