Dear Parents tis with great
Pleasher that i recieved your leter last night and was glad to hea from you and hea that you all was well and to hear that Edwin and his wife was to and hope thes fue lines will find you well to tis a hell of a time hear now we are called out last night about midnight to form aline of batle and the night bfore to but that is nothing hear you no that is nothing I was on picket gard night before last and see sum rebels to and seth Partlow leveled his gun at one to and a nother man shot him they shut them very often hear that is fun hear / This i like fust rate you no it to be so i think i have aplenty to eat here and it is good anuff to i am fating up to and that is good neuse for you to iam moste dam glad to hea that you have got into your new house tell mandy that her Johney would like to see her dance on the new flore now and franke and Charley they same to we had a large frost here last night and tell me if you have had eney up ther yet or not tell me if you hav got that money of stulley yet or not you sed that if i dident eney money that you would sent me sum but i have more than you do i will bet so keepe all you get
