Feb 26th 1863
Dear Parents I seat my self to pen thes few lines to let you no that I am well and hope thes few lins will find you the same but I think you are all ded but dont no sirten for I hant had a letter from you sence you send me the bill of the box and it is time for me to get som word from home if iam to hear again from you and if not jest say so so I will no what to do
Well John Naylor has gon home this morning on 15 days furlow and probley you will see him if nothing hapens to him and when he comes back if you can get one of / them watches at the Brandon House block not over 7 dols nor not less than 3 halves and send it by John if you can Well I will wate till the mail coms in bfor I right any more
Well the mail has com in twice and I haint got a letter yet eather so be shore and send me one of them 6½ dolars watches of levettes shop at the Brandon house block Send it by John Naylor if you please to
