Dear father and mother sistre and Brothes to i now seat my self to pen afew lines to let you no that i am well and hope the few lines will find you the saim but not in so close a plase as iam for the shot and shell fly hear somtimes pirty fast We have ben fighting the Rebels for 5 days an one night but we haint ben in yet but dont no how soon we shall be called in
I have got the ten dolars so good by for this time I will right more next time when the fight is over right soon
