Dear Parents tis with much plesher that I seat my self to pen you afew lines to let you no that I am most well and hope thes few lines will find you all well and having a good time to for every sence I have ben sick I have ben so lonsom that I hardly could content my self to stay enewhare atall I was almost homsick to tell the truth about the marter for I hadto lay still all of the time you see so it maid it hard for me for you now it was hard for me to be still alays But I am much beter now and hope that I shall get well for I dont do eney thing yet but have got out of the hospital and shant go there again if I / can help it for I dont like the plase atall for it makes me so dam homsick to shut up in atent with alot of sick it is no plase for me to be
 
            Well we air having very cold weather down hear for this time of the year We hafto weare our over coats all of the time most So you see it is sum cold hear for the presant But hope it will be warmer soon for it would be bad to hafto moove such wether
 
            Well I supose thare making shugar up ther now fast I should likto be up to help do it so I could jest put my lip to it to see how it would taist for I think it would be good to taist it some it seams so to me eney how does it to you But there is no use of talking about it for I cant bee so good bye from John W Pitridge   answer this soon
