Dear parents tis with great pleasher that i recived your letter last night and was glad to hear from you and to hear you was well and hope thes few lines will find you the same to for iam now and hope that ishall be till i die dont you to That box has three dayes to go it was all right but beres they was spilt the whiske was good to for i got drunk as hell so that i dident go out to role call for 3 times But the Captin sed it was all right so i dident care do you it was all / wright to Jest tell Jane & Alvire to kiss my ass if that is the case or eney thing elce jest as they pleas to ishould like to see you all to and jest let me no if you have bot the colt or not and if you haint all right to let me no if my colt has got the horse destemper or no i think that i shall hafto right to Jane soon and see how she feels now i think she has got the goat dont you to if not she will soon
Jest tell me how much money you have got of my money now on hand for i shall send some soon to you if you hant got that colt to buie somthing elce if you think best to
