My Dear brother Sister I take my pen in hand to let you know we are all well and I hope when these few lines coms to hand that they ma fined you all well
well Sarah is ded She died 20th of September She all the time apeared like she could not stand the sting of death until the day before she died and she died as easy as any body you ever saw I taken care of her all the time she was sick and saw that she was put away / decent and nice
Pheby Ann has come home from John Shorts Sarah netty is liveing at John Packwoods Amy Jane has staid at home to help me spin and weave She is such a home girl She stays with me all the time thomas says tell Jacob that him and marion has bin hauling corn to day all the children sends their love and best resects to all you children I send my love to you and all the children I want you to / write as often as you can for I have a bad chance to write So it is geting late and I will bring my letter to a close so when this you see remember me though many miles apart we be and hope to meet in heaven Mary M Cox to Ritty Ann Sanders and the children
