Daniel T. Everts
Daniel T. Everts was born around 1832. By the early 1860s, he was probably living in New York.
 
In December 1861, he received a commission as a major in the 89th New York Infantry. The regiment took part in the Battle of Antietam, the Battle of Fredericksburg, and the siege of Suffolk. He was discharged for disability on March 2, 1864. He later served as a 1st lieutenant in Company D of the 16th Veteran Reserve Corps, and he mustered out in March 1865.
 
He returned to New York after the war. He applied for a federal pension in June 1884 and eventually secured one. He died in Albany, New York, on June 11, 1902.
