Enfield N.H. November 5th 1865
 
Dear Natt
                        Yours of the 30th was rece'd the 3rd. Was as ever very happy to hear from you. I was glad to hear that your health was better. We are all well as usual The weather has not been very pleasant for the past week it has rained evry other day and it is muddy enough is assure /
 
I heard that Mr Day and wife were coming home last week but thay have not without thay came last night. I should urge you to come if it want for the cold weather and if I thought it would do any good to ask you to come. I should be very glad indeed to have you come for it has been a long time since I have seen you. I hope you will not have to go to Missouri! The leaves have nearly all fell from the trees. It begins to look like winter.
 
            There is going to be a dance here Wednesday eve and / week from Tuesday night there is going to be an exhibition here.
 
            Mr Kimball and wife she that was Addie Gage started for the west yesterday.

I will now try and finish my letter Everette Miner has been here to tea he sayes he [?] all he can do in his Grocery and has help in the evening.
 
            It stromes this evening and it is very lonesome wish I could drop in and see you it would be very pleasant I assure you I have not heard from Gene for a long / we expect her home before long. I do not think of any more to write this evening. If there is any thing you want and I can get it I will.
 
            Pleas write as often as you can.
