My Dear Natt
Your very kind letter of Oct 19th I will now try and answer. I was truly glad to hear from and that you was well. We are all well as usual. My face has got nearly well. I call / well for it is so much better than it was. I took cold in my face after I had my teeth out I felt sick enough to go to bed, but Marcia was not very well so I had to keep up. I am feeling nicely tonight. And I should like to step in and see you. It seams a long time from now till spring, but will soon pass away I want to see you so much and then it dont seam as if I could. There is not / a day passes but what I think about it. If all had been well I should not think so about it.
I was glad to hear you received the gum I got over my trip quite well was some home and tired for a few days dont think I should want go again. Natt I ask your forgivness for saying what I did about you siding with me. You have never given me reason to think or say so. I out not to have said / it and am sorry I did If all had have right I should not have such thought but I cant help thinking sometimes

We had a letter from Mother yesterday said she should start for Concord this week so she will be at home in the course of of two weeks. Shant I be glad when she gets home I shant have quite so much care then. It has been quite stormy today. Last week it was warm and pleasant all the week / It is getting to be time for cold weather. I dread to have it come. Mrs Day was up and spent an evening with us last week I like to have her come she is company but says some funny things She told me about Mrs Warner I was very sorry to hear such news I should think thay were both to blame by what Mrs Day tells me Mrs Day has wrote her / particulars I should think it would have been quite an undertaken for a Lady to cross the plains without any friends to have gone with her I could not keep it out of my mind after I read your letter allthough she was an entire stranger to me. her husband could not have had any love or respect for her or any feeling if had he could not have let go away so far. Cap Day said God would have to forgive him for / he could not.

Mrs Day sayes she is going to write to the Col and ask him how he likes house keeping I suppose you get along nicely I hope you do. I should like to step in and see your house. do not do without one thing to make yourself comfortable. I have not more news to write. There is not much going on now Burns Potter has gone into company with Bill Harrison /

I had some new cider to drink last week wish you could have some of it. You say you dont have any news to write it is news to me to me to hear that you are well. You must write as often as you can. I will do the same. I have neglecte you for not write for the past week but I did not feel as if I could write I am going to try to do better

                                                                                    I am as ever Natt
                                                                                    yours truly with a kiss
                                                                                                Nellie F Stanley
