My Dear Captain
I am very much in need of the proceedings of that Board of Survey on the whiskey. Please make them up if possible right away and forward them by mail so I can make up my papers for May. I send you a copy which I think will answer the purpose and if it suit you all right perhaps you will prefer to add your own remarks. I merely send you this to give you data from which you can make up the proceedings. Capt Day has been down but remained only one day. The Rio is on another bust and has destroyed all the buildings on the side of the road next to it except the rooms below the lower portal. We had to work day and night to save the stores. did not lose much except the beans they all went what a shame. Your horse is all right fanny is better. my regards to the Col. and all other friends and good Masons. Another Riala at San Elisario next Sunday night. the Maj and I are going He is completely demoralised since his trip / up Country.get back soon awful lonesome without you the man with the wagon has been up.
Truly yours
W L Seran
