                        I have this day forwarded to you my appointment as 1^st Lieut. Muster in Roll Discharge &c if anything more is required please let me know as soon as you can. Capt Day will make an affidavit that I was on duty before the 1^st of March 1865 if that necessary by you. If the muster is amended there will be the amt over a privates pay & 1^st Lieut from April 25^th to the time the muster is amended / besides the three months pay proper.

 

            If you see Prentis tell him to write me.

            I have a note against Col Armstrong do you think there is any chance to collect it if so let me know & will be much oblige
