Dear Thany
                        As I promised to write today I supose that I must scrible a few lines to let you know how we got here which was first rate I had a very pleasant journey indeed Willy was just as good as a little pig he never cried a speck all the way he wanted to sit with Cont most of the way we had a saloon to Concord and then we changed cars and set in a seat Davis got prety tierd before we got to Enfield it rained hard all the way from Concord the cars were late and they were in such a hury that they did not tak Willys carrige out to Lebanon so it went on I told the stag driver to get it Willy is tierd enough today and I have had to hold him most all day so it is so late that I cannot write any more tonight so I will finish this tomorrow darling /
 
Monday
            Willy is better this morning it is very plesant today the school finishes two weeks from next wednesday Mother thinks she canot go home with me no way but is agoing to let Soney go and if he likes stay and learn a trade he is larger then I thought he was he is about as large as that heath boy in the store but dont look like any of your folks he is a pretty boy Aunt Phebe has been up here a lots of times she says she loves ther baby for it is so much like its Father she sends a lot of love to you I cannot write any more this time give my love to Abby so good by for this time write soon dear husband
