Daniel F. Albright to Uncle, 2 June 1912
June 2—1912.

Dear Uncle:
Well, I received your letter and was glad to hear from you. Will write a few lines this evening and will do it with a pencil as I haven't any pen fine enough for me to write with. Wish we could both be at the lake awhile. Maybe we could get a mess of fish. It has been so cold and backward this spring I can hardly get my work done and don't have time to fish any.

I sold Nelly a while ago and bought a 3 yr. old mare that had never been worked. She works alright now, however, but Ted is like he always was.

Say, did you take a hot iron to bed with you this winter? If you didn't maybe that is what made you sick.

Do you remember the place we got / that good bread in Kendallville? The man that runs it used to keep a saloon there but I didn't know it for a long time. He didn't go back when the town went wet though. Said he had a good business in something respectable now.

Is bedtime and must close. Has been a misty day but went up east to S.S. this forenoon.

Yours truly,
Daniel.
