Franklin B. Dexter to Charles J. Arms, 5 July 1875
Yale College
New Haven, Conn.
July 5, 1875
My dear Mr. Arms,
I have the great pleasure of giving you the official information that the President and Fellows at the recent Commencement conferred upon you the degree of Master of Arts, and that consequently you will be enrolled hereafter in your own Class as an Alumnus of the College.
I have to ask the indulgence of a little delay in sending the diploma which ought to have gone with this letter, but which I / find cannot be prepared until after my return from a vacation.
With the best wishes,
Yours very truly,
F. B. Dexter,
Secretary
