Sir
I beg leave to call your attention to the fact that the new Crops now about ready to be distributed will require you to be very energetic in collecting the Tax in Kind (particularly of Corn) as the Quartermasters will have their agents out Collecting, and they will take everything they can get hold of. Collect all the Supplies you can and put them in a Secure house, and notify me every week of the quantity you have on hand. Whenever an opportunity offers Send all you can to this Depot. Make all the purchases you can. (If you can do so make some Contracts for making Soap and Candles)
I am Sir
