William H. Bone to Adrian Bone, 2 October 1864
Camp Dennison
Sabbath morn
Oct 2ond 1864
Dear Mother
I will write you a few lines that you may know that I am here all right. I got here at eleven oclock yesterday without being disturbed, only as I came in the gate the guard asked for a pass. I told him that I went out early in the morning and stayed out till then and got the things from a friend. he then said all right and let me in. /
I dont feel any the worse of my visit and my wound looks well. the ward master said nothing to me but every thing went on just as if I had been here all the time.
No more at present but hope this will find you all well.
Good by
Yours truly,
Wm H Bone.
To. A Bone.
