Adrian Bone (maiden name: Dill) was born around 1817 in Lebanon, Ohio. She married James T. Bone on April 3, 1839, and they had at least three children: William, born on March 30, 1842; Alvin, born around 1844; and Emma, born on February 19, 1849. They lived in Turtle Creek, Ohio, and her husband worked as a carpenter. By 1850, they owned $950 of real estate. Her husband died on August 11, 1851. She remained in Turtle Creek with her children, and by 1860, she was working as a farm manager. She owned $6,600 of real estate and $600 of personal property. A decade later, her wealth had grown to $15,500 of real estate and $500 of personal property, and she employed at least one farm laborer and two domestic servants. By 1880, she was living in her daughter Emma’s household in Lebanon, Ohio. She died on August 7, 1897.
