Most Dear and Affectionate
Mother Brother and Sister,
I received a letter from Alvin to day and was truly glad to hear from you. I looked for a letter from some of you all last week, and was so disappointed that I had almost come to the conclusion that some of you was sick and did not want me to know. But my thoughts were greatly relieved and much gratified to hear that you were still well. My health has been very good since my return to camp the Dirhaea / has not troubled at all. My wound is still improveing as it was for a few days before I left home. We have had glorious times in camp since I came back.
There has been a protracted meeting in procesion and many dear soldiers have given their all up to him who able to save even to the utermost there was preaching this morn, and this afternoon conference or speaking meeting. it lasted two hours and then many went away unsatisfied each one got so anxious to tell his or her experience, that sometimes three or four would take the / floor at once.
It does my soul good to see so much anxiety about the cause of Christ. There is preaching tonight, and the meetings are to be continued as long as there can be any good done, and it is to and the people can stand it
Well supper is about ready and I must close for to night.
Hopeing that this may find each of you in good health and fine spirits. I have written this in a hurry please pardon bad writing.
Good By
