I have bad news for you which I am very sory for; We started on a rade Dec 7th & marched about eighty miles through the storm and rain We wer all heavy loaded So it made it very hard for us to march your husband got beat out and stop to rest and we supose that the gorillars picked him up when we was on our way back for we have ben back three days and have hird nothing from Nathan on our way back We found some of our troops striped and murderd and it is the opinion of the folks hear that / Mr Kemp has come to the same fate the boys told me not to rite what we thought of it but if it was my case I should want to now of it but we hope he will turn up yet but it is doutfull this is all I will rite this time pleas give my respects to all of the folks & the same to your self pleas anser this & oblige
