Dear Sister
I this pleasant afternoon take this opportunity of riting to a few lines to let you where I am and that I am well at present and I trust these few lines will find you all enjoying good health I have seen a little fun since I last rote to you with the Johney Rebs our regiment crosed the rapahanach twice and did not loos a man the bum shels wisled over my head severl times and did not get hit our brigad was drawn up in line of battle severl times expected to go in a fight at every time I have not time to rite much I thought I would rite you a few lines to let you know were I am at present I will be on my way home soon
now I must close so no more at present
