Evelyn E. Moulthrop to Sarah M. Moulthrop, undated
Thursday, Evening

            Dear Mother
I am now going to answer your letter which I received last Saturday. My cold is better, I do not cough scarcely any now and I have not taken any medicin either. Marcus Warriner wrote to the Proprietor of that school where we think of going next fall and received an answer, which I enclose and wish you to send it back when you write again. I thought if I went at all I would go for six months and commence by the first of October and I shall have to take / some of my money from the Bank. I thank you very kindly for your offer of 20 dollars, but you have work I can save some at least, and would rather have you call the teeth a sort of a present, besides if I go to school you may need the money more than I shall. we are having very pleasant weather but it is awful dusty as a matter of course in Ansonia. we are all well and have plenty of work at present. unkle Orrin came to the shop to see me today. He said he asked Grandfather how he was, and said he was pretty comfortable. he did not say much / about the West. He says Aunt Sybil is at Louisas. I should not think she would care about visiting there now, but I will close my letter for it is getting towards 11 oclock. Give my love to all our friends ("say nothing about Relations")
Reserving a large share for Yourself. From Your loving Son
