Andrew Morrison Jr. to Sister, 11 July 1864
Camp near Petersburgh July 11th 1864

            Dear Sister
I now write you a few lines to let you know how i get along.

We are here in the woods yet but expect to go to the breast works tonight. We have rested six days now Theodore Whitelock got a letter from Mat O Brien last night he is at Anapolis Hospital. he has not lost his foot but it was pretty bad a spell. the Eryseplas set in and he was afraid he would lose it but it is getting along prety well now. I supose you did not go to Rock City on the 4th as you did not write any thing about it

I wrote for some stamps two or three weeks ago you may send them as soon as you can. I had not room in Fathers letter to ask how much the house would cost when it is finished. it will be so warm you might can live in it in summer.

has Wilson paid for Prince yet. it was not worth Mrs Bradys while to come to Howe Hill. she soon got sick of it does Gaffney talk of leaving too. if he does he had better let Mr Byrne have his place again. he could do well enough on it.

I am well at present hoping this will find you and Andrew and all the rest well. have you got his likeness yet
A Morrison
