Dear Brother
         I take my pensil in hand to let you know how I am I have been sick I was taken down sick the 22 I am gitting purty smart now I have been having the Measles but I have got over them now and I hope these few lines will find you enjoying good health tell Wesley to write to me as often as he can and you must write as often as you can and do not wait for me to write we expect our / money in a few days our honest little 26 dolars I wish you was here
 
I have got to write to Mother yet to day I received your letter last Friday and I was glad to here from you I was in so much pain that I did not now what to but I raise up my head and red the letter and it eased me Anson has had the Measles to and he is gitting well to they are drawing bord here as fast as they can to build barax for us to stay in this winter the boys is going out on a general review again to day I shal not go out with them / write to me where to direct my letters to to have them go to Uncle Georg Cullison
