Rebecca Clark
Rebecca Clark (maiden name: Rodgers) was born around 1798 in New York. She married John T. Clark on March 11, 1820, and they had at least four children: Maria, born around 1831; Martha, born around 1831; Joel, born around 1835; and Homer, born around 1840. The family moved to Raymond, Wisconsin, in the 1840s, and her husband died there on September 1, 1848. By 1850, she owned $324 of real estate. She applied for a widow’s pension in the 1850s and eventually received one. She moved to Lindina, Wisconsin, in the 1850s and then to Minnesota in the early 1860s. By 1880, she was living in her daughter Martha’s household in Bridgewater, Minnesota. She died in Northfield, Minnesota, on March 6, 1893.
