Please say to Mrs. Kingsley that in order to be sure and lose no time, but to be ready need take the underclothing right out to East New York that night if necessary I telegraphed to Horace to meet me at the depot. From him I there learned that the 52d Mass. Regt. embarked on the "Illinois" on Friday evening. But I have no doubt but that he obtained his underclothing himself, for Mr. Hughes says that Seth and John Doane called at the office and, knowing Mrs. Kingsley's message which came to me through you he asked Seth if there was any thing which he wanted and Seth said there was "nothing".

The money and little box I will send back by Henry Hubbard who leaves on Tuesday.

I am very sorry I could not / have seen him, but Mrs. Kingsley may it seems to me feel sure that he had provided himself with the articles which she wished him to have.
