Mary Evans (maiden name: Skipworth) married Wilson Miles Evans on October 30, 1856, in Highland County, Ohio. They had at least two children together: Jacob P., born July 16, 1877; and Robert L., born August 30, 1878. Her husband died on June 12, 1889, due to heart failure brought on by severe rheumatism and bronchitis. Mary secured a widow's pension of $12 per month soon afterwards. She passed away on November 18, 1895, in Samantha, Ohio.
