Amilia Reed (maiden name: Garland) married her first husband, whose last name was likely Bird, sometime before 1874. She married Isaiah Reed on July 3, 1874, in Allen County, Ohio. Together they had four children: Willie E., born July 5, 1875; Lizzie E., born October 22, 1878; Clarence, born August 12, 1881; and an unknown fourth child. Her husband died on June 23, 1910, and she applied for a pension for herself and her minor child. The War Department, however, denied her application. She died on December 6, 1886.
