Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane Brown was born around 1851 in Virginia. She first married Alick Farris, and their marriage lasted from 1857 to 1859. She then married Thomas Brown on October 12, 1881, probably in St. Louis, Missouri. Their son John was born in the late 1880s. Thomas died on September 6, 1917, in Louisiana, Missouri, and she unsuccessfully applied for a widow's pension. Brown worked as a housekeeper in Louisiana. She died on December 19, 1920, due to complications from dropsy and capillary bronchitis.
