Catherine Page (maiden name: Pierre) was born around 1841 in Washington, D.C., as a free woman. She married Marcellus Waters, who died sometime between 1860 and 1864. She then married William Cummings Page on December 4, 1866, in Washington, D.C., and the couple moved to Blenheim, Albemarle County, Virginia. They had four children together: William C., born October 27, 1868; Anna M., born September 11, 1872; Jonathan, born June 19, 1874; and James, born June 22, 1878. He died on May 26, 1910, and she eventually secured a widow's pension, despite difficulties that arose out of the fact that she had had a previous husband. By 1921, she was receiving $30 per month. She died in Blenheim in 1921.
