Elizabeth May Goings (maiden name: Male) was born in Virginia on May 15, 1844. She married James Meladus Goings on March 12, 1875, in Washington County, Ohio. Together, she and James had several children after the Civil War. She died on April 26, 1890, and is buried in the Friends Cemetery in Washington County.
