Eva Jane Gibson (maiden name: Norris) was born on July 25, 1874, in Bartlett, Ohio. She married William O. Gibson on August, 6, 1894, in Wesley Township. The couple had ten children together, including: Mamie, born June 30, 1895; Oliver, born October 4, 1896; Noble, born March 22, 1898; Clyde, born September 16, 1899; Jane, born February 8, 1903; Edgar, born February 16, 1905; and Ason, born August 18, 1908. Three other children died in infancy. Her husband died of rheumatism on July 2, 1911, in Sharpsburg. She applied for a widow's pension soon afterwards but never received one, perhaps because she had gotten remarried to John Hill on August 26, 1911. Nonetheless, her minor children--Oliver, Noble, Jane, Edgar, and Ason--began receiving pensions of $12 per month in 1911. It is unclear when or where Eva died.
