Sparrow's Beach was considered to be the family-friendly beach and Florence Sparrow catered to churches.  Church groups held annual picnics and other events for members.  This is a view of the swimming beach.

Hilltop

Although the Hilltop was listed before World War II, it continued in the 1950s, and Duke Ellington and his band appeared in March 1953.

Crescent Lunch

The Crescent Lunch stood on West All Saints Street.

Mrs. Etta Watson's Tourist Home
